YOUTH VOICES FOR CHANGE
Youth Voices for Change is a carefully designed platform that the Jamaica Invasion Ambassadors will coordinate and establish with youth in your school, organization and community. Youth Voices for Change is a series of weekly meetings and workshops for young people between the ages of 13 to 25 to voice their distinct ideas, opinions, attitudes, knowledge, and actions to collectively, change the world to be improved quality of life for their generation and generations to come. Jamaica Invasion Ambassadors will formulate Youth Voices for Change to meet in both physical and via online to interact, discuss and plan.
Youth Voices for Change is an open forum, nonpolitical, nonjudgmental atmosphere that encourages youth to speak and act despite diversities of perceptions and skills, backgrounds, identities, and cultural differences. Youth Voices for Change provides opportunities and platforms to elevate the voices of the youth voice encouraging young people’s participation with voicing their inviting young program participants to share their perceptions and opinions.
Youth Voices for Change is objectives are to:
- Organize Weekly Meetings and Workshops
- Community Listening sessions and summits
- Positively influence decision makers
- Be the voice for youth that are unable to voice
- Be instrumental in the development in their community
- Identify and address inequalities
- Influence in youth development education, programs and activities
It is important element for Decision makers from all sectors to consult young people when developing programs, products, or services designed for young people, or ensure that young people serve on decision making boards.
Jamaica Invasion recognizes that Youth play an essential role in building strong and peaceful communities and in improving youth outcomes. Youth Voices for Change was created for young people who want change and are willing to a voice to the change. Jamaica Invasion Ambassadors are dedicated to assisting the youth in your school, organization and community to having a platform enabling to contribute and to having a voice.
